Most tents are not designed for stationary use, so to ensure you can use your tent for years, do not let it be exposed to the elements for long periods of time. You should consider a different product if you would like a shelter for long-term stationary use. 

Tips to keep your tent in top condition

• When possible, set up your tent in shaded areas.
• Dirt and dust can affect the waterproof effectiveness and breathability, resulting in condensation and dampness on the inside.
• Avoid camping in extreme weather and always try to find a sheltered area to set up camp.
• If it is raining while you are packing up, make sure you take your tent out as soon as possible to dry. Even if you think your tent is dry when you come home, take it out and hang it up to dry completely before storing it.
• It is best to store your tent in a cool, dry place and a larger bag so it is not compressed. Using a compression or stuff sack for up to three days at a time is usually no problem.
